Citroen has announced that Kris Meeke will be at the wheel of the Citroen C3 WRC in the Spanish Rally, the next stop of the season.
Meeke will be joining Stephane Lefebvre and Khalid Al-Qassimi in the race to be held in Catalunya, and there will be no empty seat for Craig Breen in the team.
Andreas Mikkelsen, who joined Citroen in the last four rallies, announced that he will race for Hyundai in the rest of the season.
Despite a full season deal, Meeke was not raced in the German Rally due to his performance in the Finnish Rally.
Citroen team boss Yves Matton said: “We believe that Meeke will continue this acceleration in Spain after the performance in Germany and the performance on the asphalt floor.” said.
Breen will return to Citroen in England and Australia while he can not race in Spain.
Matton also said that Meeke is an agreement for 2018 and 2019, but has yet to decide whether to continue or not.
