Argentine legend football player Diego Armando Maradona has been accused in an unfair trial in Italy.
According to news from the Italian news agency ANNSA, the Cassino Tortoise has been acquitted in the case of a defendant in the case that Maradona has no insulting elements in his 2012 speech in an interview with the Italian tax authority, Equitalia. It was reported that Maradona’s attorney Angelo Pisani, who was guilty of the same accusation, was also acquitted.
An investigation was launched by the Romanian public prosecutor’s office on the words of Maradona in June 2012 against Equitalia and Attilio Befera, who was then the head of the institution, which was later referred to the Cassino Procuratorate.
Maradona and Equitalia had previously confronted the old star many times about the turnover tax in Naples between 1984 and 1991. In 2013, Equitalia was cautioned against paying 39 million taxpayers on the turnaround that Maradona was running.
